Tricia and Jeff met online but their first offical meeting was at this coffee shop in beautiful downtown Fredericksburg, Va. Hyperion Cafe is a quaint little coffee shop on a corner. I just love the laughing shots that show how much fun Jeff and Tricia have together.
For the next part of their engagement session we only had to drive a few miles away to University of Mary Washington to get some spectacular backdrops using the beautiful buildings at the school! The lighting couldn’t have been more perfect either as the sun was beginning to set for the evening. Tricia went to school here and showed me around the campus as we chatted about wedding details, their normal hobbies, a regular weekend for them, and much more. I love using this time to learn more about my couples, get them used to be in front of the camera, and seeing how they best “fit” together before the wedding day!
Our last stop for the evening was a rooftop bar above a pizza shop just a few feet away from the original coffee shop in the post. Tricia had mentioned the hanging lights that go above the bar and how awesome they looked in the evening hours so we hung around a bit to get that perfect amount of light left to get these fun shots there. I can’t believe we’re already at their wedding day! I’m so excited to see all they have done with the Williamsburg Winery and getting to be there to see them start their lives as an official married couple! Stay tuned for some sneak peeks from their wedding on Friday night and Saturday morning this weekend!
