I met Charlotte at the Richmond Bridal Show in January 2013 and we hit it off immediately! She is adorable and I have a special place in my heart for brides that already are also mothers! James was just 6 months old when we met for our initial consultation and those dimples were already quite prevalent – ladies swooning everywhere!
Charlotte and Drew’s vision for the day was a backyard, family-filled carnival. Now, when brides usually say Carnival themed wedding I think little red and white striped accessories with maybe popcorn and fun flowers. Charlotte and Drew took it to another level! They had REAL carnival games, an actual state fair food truck complete with Fried Oreos and funnel cakes, cheese steaks, and chili cheese fries! YUM! Take a few minutes to scroll through and enjoy the day with them!
Charlotte’s dad MADE this Love sign! How amazing is that! It was a star part of the evening especially after the sun went down and illuminated the drinks available in the boat underneath it which served as an ice cooler! Since Charlotte was dressing in her childhood home I included a few images of details from her accessories with childhood pictures! How adorable she was!!
Charlotte’s all lace dress in an off white was just stunning and fit her so perfectly. She looked radiant and glowing in this dress and everyone couldn’t help but smiling from ear to ear when they saw her. Dad was a little teary-eyed seeing his baby girl all grown-up and glamorous. (He kinda wins sweetest dad of the year award in my book!) I’m also hoping they replace at least one of those deer heads with a beautiful canvas from the wedding! Haha!
The light for the ceremony was the perfect golden hour view. Everything was glowing with sunlight and Charlotte was illuminated with love and happiness! Just look at her face in these next few with her dad walking her down the aisle near the pond in the front of their property! What a beautiful venue!
The girls and the moms in dark fall colors of Navy, Purples, Burgundy, and Oranges really added even more beauty to the color scheme for the day. Charlotte included many unusual flowers in her bouquet to make it especially unique. See below for detailed shots of her flowers and their custom made wooden rings! Drew is a “tree man” and it’s the family business so I didn’t expect any less than amazingly special wooden rings to seal their future life and love together!
Of course we always get the traditional group shots, but with this much personality you can’t leave out the fun, candid shots as well! These guys really took candid to a whole new level at this wedding!
All the girls are wearing TOM’S and there’s a special contest for a TOM’S shoe picture! She wanted lots of shots of these to enter the contest and hopefully win Tom’s for life!
At each wedding we spend about 15-20 minutes doing bride and groom portraits. These are some of the most fun pictures of the day because the bride and groom get a moment of quiet to just enjoy and revel in the fact they really did just get MARRIED! Drew and Charlotte were electric, you could feel their excitement about the amazing life they have together and her expressions really show that!
Many emotions during these first few dances! This family is so full of love and joy! It was an amazing day and I was so happy to be a part of it!
We ended the night with sparklers and fireworks! The perfect ending to a perfect day!
